What if I have to miss a class?

If you can, please let us know if you are going to be absent or sick. You are welcome to do a make-up for up to 3 classes missed per 16-week semester if there is another class available and if there is room in that class. Make-ups must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.

Can I preview a class before signing up?

We would be happy to have you preview a class to see what Kindermusik is all about. Please schedule a time with us ahead of time to ensure a class is not overcrowded.

Can I pay on a class by class basis?

No, tuition is based on the session schedule. I do have a payment plan which can be used if absolutely necessary.

What should I wear/bring to class?

Kids (and parents) should wear comfortable clothes. I request that shoes be removed during class and socks be worn.  Please leave juice and snacks in the car with the exception of those babies nursing or bottle fed in Village classes. Take-home materials do not need to be brought to class in most cases.

Can I bring my child's sibling to class?

No, however we understand that occasionally you may have to bring a sibling due to school closures and emergencies. In that case, it is fine to bring another child to class once or twice a semester for emergencies this applies to children who are old enough to sit quietly in the waiting area and not disturb the class. We have a sibling class designed for siblings which is called Family Time.

Can I bring visitors to class?

We definitely welcome your guests (especially grandparents!) to class, especially other families who would enjoy previewing a class.  Please let me know 24 hours in advance to make sure there is space available.

Can we join in a class once a session has started?

Yes, you can join in once a session has started. First, call and check to see if the class is still open. Sometimes a class fills and someone inquires about it before we can post the full class on the web site. Village, Our Time, Family Time and Imagine That! are non-sequential so as long as a class has room, a family can join in at any time. We prorate classes and only charge for the remaining part of the semester. The tuition portion will be prorated. The materials cannot be prorated. The Young Child classes are sequential so, while it is best to begin with Semester 1 in the fall semester, it is possible to join in a Semester 2 class early in the session. To join Young Child Year 2 (Semesters 3 and 4), a child must have at least Semester 2 the year before.

Snow Days?

I will post a notice on my home page if class is cancelled.
